Hi!

Welcome to my blog! This is where I blabber on about all things bookish.

Zenith Tour - I met the authors!

Zenith Tour - I met the authors!

I want to preface this by saying that authors rarely make a stop in Vancouver on their book tours. So when I heard that Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings were coming to the Chapters at Metrotown on January 26th, you know I clicked “Going” on the Facebook event as fast as I could.

My only other experience with an author signing was Jenny Han’s signing for Always and Forever, Lara Jean last year and even though I showed up well before the event, I ended up standing way in the back. So this time I knew I needed to show up early! Showing up two and a half hours before the event isn’t excessive, right?

After I purchased the book, I joined the line that was forming in the art section. I was probably the oldest person in this line up, but I didn’t care (okay, maybe I did a little, but no one could have been older than 15). Fast forward to when we got moved to seats (nothing else exciting happened in between except for that I worked on my marketing assignment), I ended up being right there in the front row!

It was a great experience hearing Lindsay and Sasha talk about Zenith, their writing process and what it was like to co-write a novel with someone who has a different creative process from your own. They were just as funny and energetic as you would expect them to be in person and their passion for Zenith made me all the more excited to read the book myself! The event was then over way too soon, but I got my book signed and got to talk to Lindsay and Sasha, who were obviously two of the sweetest humans ever.

This post was short and a bit all over the place, but if you’ve read this, thanks so much for reading and thank you to Lindsay and Sasha for coming to Vancouver!

Until next time, have a great rest of your day and read something awesome!
