NaNoWriMo Wrap Up
NaNoWriMo is now behind us! Well, it has been for quite a while, but I wanted to write a quick post wrapping up my experience.
I did not, unfortunately, reach 50K words but I did finally manage to surpass the 10K mark and get farther in my novel. I only passed ten thousand words by a little bit, but I now have a more solid feel for where my book is going. So while I didn’t win NaNoWriMo numbers wise, I feel like I still won because I have made further progress on my project.
So what are my plans for 2019? I want to make writing more of a priority in the new year. I’m not going to put an exact number of words that I have to reach or say that I must work on this project every single day. I know I’m going to have a lot going on, especially at the beginning of the year, and I want to make a goal for myself that’s more manageable. I typically workout three to four times a week, so I’m going to treat writing my book the same way and aim to designate time to work on my novel three to four days a week. This way, if I end up doing more, then that’s great, but I won’t get down on myself if I don’t work on my novel because of other projects I have going on.
That’s all for my NaNoWriMo Wrap Up! Did you participate in NaNoWriMo this year? Let me know how you did in the comments below. Also, if you have any writing process tips that work for you when you’re stuck, leave those in the comments as well. I’d love to know!
Until next time, have a lovely rest of your day and read something awesome!
